These are wonderful sunglasses for working out or casual. They are well made, stay on my face, provide great coverage, keep the wind out of my eyes while cycling, etc. My only hesitation on my review is that the previous model was a bit more flexible and therefore more comfortable - the arms on the new ones are solid plastic, which is proably stronger, but the old ones had thinner arms with rubber over them, which made them gentler on the sides of my head. One very neat thing about this new model is that the nose piece is adjustable! You can widen or thin it based on where you want the glasses to fit on your face. One drawback here though is that the rubber on the nose piece is solid vs. with air flow, so I sweat there now and never really have before and I am finding that kinda annoying... Whatever the case, SMITH makes awesome glasses and I highly recommend them. My last pair lasted about 8 years of almost everyday wear from backpacking, cycling, running, rock climbing, skiing, and every day to the office. I look forward to using these ones for many more adventures!
Just picked up Chromapop PivLock Asana and I can't tell you how much I love them. The lenses have great clarity. The rich tones, clarity and colors that these lenses bring out even on a slightly overcast day is amazing. The amount of coverage is perfect for my small/medium face. The nose and temple pads are comfy and will not fall off my face even if I'm riding or running. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm wearing them. The fit/style feels super solid and Smith did an excellent job on these glasses.
My eyes feel so great after riding with the PivLock Asana's. The wind protection and optics are great.
Love the light weight and fit of these glasses. The white nose piece is a little big. It took time getting used to it and how it affected my line of sight.
I was used to old the PV Lock 90 with a larger lens but I was not disappointed. Clear vision, plenty of coverage and the adjustable nose piece is a plus.
These glasses fit so well and look so good! The lenses are perfect. They stay put even on the bumpiest mountain bike trail and block the wind on a fast road bike descent.
I ordered a second pair because I love the fit and style but I believe the lens material was brittle. I had them about a year. The first side broke off when I removed the glasses from my head. When I went to change the lens, the second side broke off as I was twisting the ear piece. They have a lifetime warranty but I lost them before I could send them back and I didn't save the receipt. I hope my second pair lasts longer.
These performance sunglasses are awesome. I love the style and how easy it is to swap out the lenses. One of the best features in my opinion is that this style that it doesn't block any part of your vision. They're super lightweight and very comfortable.
I love the Smith PivLocks in all their varieties. I've owned three different versions of them over the past 4-5 years, currently the Asana is the one that fits my face best. Unfortunately this year, Smith decided to stop producing clear lenses which are the lenses that I use the most, as an avid mountain biker who rides till dusk, at night, and in dense forests, and never without eye protection. The lack of clear lenses this year definitely has me super bummed, and even looking at other options for glasses with clear lens options, which I really hate to say.
Most functional eyewear yet! Love all the options & ease I have in swapping out the lenses on the PivLock Asana. Eyewear for all conditions with numerous lens choices. (Clear, ChromaPop Contrast Rose Flash, Ignitor are my favorites)
